slowly updating

Slowly getting things back to normal if there is such a thing with me now days. I had a very nice visit with a dear friend whom I have not seen in many years on Thursday evening. She was in from Colorado visiting her folks and we got together and have a wonderful dinner at Tamolly’s Mexican Food Restaurant (also known as my favorite dining experience in the big ol’ city of Paris). I then proceeded to show her my lovely mansion (also known as a metal shop with a 1 bedroom, 1 bath “apartment” on one end and a short drive through some of the nearby countryside and loads of reminiscing. She even invited me up to Colorado to go snow skiing this winter although not sure how her husband will react to this news if I do decide to accept the offer. In case you are wondering , yes I am seriously considering going because that’s been on my list of things to try for a while now haha.

Not a lot else going on around here……working pretty much every day now and trying to plan a vacation soon. I had told my friend Vicki I would try to make it down Georgia way this summer so maybe headed down there. A bonus on that trip would be the possibility of meeting a longtime online friend who is stationed in GA with the Army, before she heads off to Iraq this fall. This would be her second tour and they are telling them to expect 12-15 months or so. Please take time each week to pray for our soldiers who are a world away from their loved ones. They do such a valuable and very dangerous job that most of us take for granted.

My daughter is in Florida for a week long trip with the school and as soon as she gets back she is off to…..Florida again for another week or two……she has such a rough life….being 17 and getting to spend half a month in Florida…..poor child haha.

Hey Brad!! It is so good to hear from you! I haven't been around much lately either because I have been busy with this and that.

I now teach the teen Sunday School class at our church and each Sunday I have my class write letters to soldiers in Iraq.

Our church has a bulletin board up, where everyone can see it, that has all of the soldiers in Iraq that are either related to or friends with members in our church. There is a picture of each soldier and I thought it would be a good idea for our teens to send them some love and prayers.

Don't work too hard!

xoxo

So when it all slows down. You're not gonna know what to do with yourself. I know...go skiing!!

Lucky daughter! If my mom let ME go to Florida for 2 weeks when I was 17 without her I would have been in 7th heaven.
