HNT 21 for me (has it been 6 months since i did this?)

Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me!!! haha Today (5th) is my 38th birthday and I am not one to "celebrate" a birthday like most people do.....hell so many things I do not do like most people do haha. Anyway my mom and dad fixed some ribeyes , boiled cabbage (one of my favorite dishes), fried okra (another fav) , mashed potatos and my mom made a dish my grandmother used to make she called chocolate dumplings. They gave me some cash and these cool 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets

I also got quite a few online greetings from various friends as well as a 7 am Happy Birthday rendition from my best friend who just happens to be my daughters mother. She is such a special lady to me and I realize it more and more each and every day. I have a good friend with a birthday of Sept 4th, mines the 5th, another good friends is tomorrow the 6th, a neighbors has hers on the 7th, her moms is the 14th, my brothers are 21st and 22nd.........September is a busy month for us around here ( and I guess January was a busy month for our families in years past huh?

I was discussing birthdays and such with a good friend and she didn't believe when I told her I had never had an official birthday party that was not all relatives. She said she thought this was sad but thats just how we did things and I did not question it (nor did i feel slighted in anyway). I might have had candles on my cake 3 or 4 times.....again no big deal to me for sure. How about any of you? Do you celebrate excessively on your birthdays?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!! Sounds like a wonderful dinner if you ask me!

I have been through TX a few times. Actually a pretty fun place the few times I've been through there although when I was in some small little town (Lucky?) I ate some breakfast at a truck stop and there was a dead fly under my french toast and the waitress told me that I should still have to pay for it because I ate the bacon...WTF??????

lol
