A great song with so much special meaning. Eternal flames go on even if you do not observe them 24/7. The eternal flame at the grave of JFK goes on whether someone is there or 10000 miles away....that flame still burns. So many flames around........so many still flickering. Heres MY eternal flame poem.
Once , so many years ago
I knew this lovely young lady
And how I loved her so.
Awesome, mischeivious smile
And a true heart of gold
No one could compare to her then
But my heart could not be bold
It wasnt for lack of feeling
Surely its not too late
The flame for her still burns
The flame that will not abate
She knows for whom this is written
Although her love is obscured
If only I knew her then, as now
Then lonliness would be cured
No doubt in my mind at all
That this flame burns eternal
As the flame continues to burn

My (our) daughter will be 16 years old in a short while. She is such a lovely young lady. I am so proud of her. She is playing with the local municpal band in a weekly thing they do at the lovely peristyle at Bywaters park in their oudoor concert season. I am planning on attending the next time she plays....anyone care to join me?

the poem is absolutely beautiful, a true pleasure to see such wonderful work and even more of a pleasure, is to know the person that it comes from.i feel truely honored to know u and to be able to honestly call u my friend. and when it comes to the lady that the poem is about, she must be special person to have made such an impact and impression on ur heart in such a way. something i almost envy and can only hope that i can one day make that sort of impact on someones life...loves ya, thank u very much (((HUGS))) u can always make me smile, but it was different tonight, a true gift.
I swear, to this day, I can hear that song play in my head as clear as it played as I sat next to you so many years ago....truly amazing that a song can define how we felt.. it is even more amazing that you can write, from your heart, what you feel... you know I love you... i will for my lifetime...
